Today lands the 7 month mark - exactly! How are we doing over here in Spokane, Washington?
I'm glad you asked! I would like to keep you all posted on our adventures and updated on prayer requests, praises, excitements, accomplishments, and struggles. Married life is incredible and I can't wait to share what little I know about how to survive (at least) 7 months!
Valentine's weekend Craig and I participated in a FamilyLife Marriage Conference at our church. Our eyes were opened to life realistically and the challenges that may or may not face us in the future. We gained a lot of foreknowledge about love and what it really means. Do I believe it is a choice? 100%! We are sinners, how can we unconditionally love sinners without the help of God above?!
Marriage is not primarily about you.
The ultimate purpose of marriage is to reflect God's image.
Marriage is a convenant - a permanent promise - not a contract.
"'Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church." Ephesians 5:31-32
