My Successful Sister

I have the privilege of writing about one of my sister's successes!!  On Sunday, August 14th, she completed her very first spring triathlon.  If you google, Danskin Triathlon Seattle, you will see that she completed:

1/2 mile swim in Lake Washington
12 mile bike ride around the lake and up and over Interstate 90
3.11 mile run

She has inspired me to do it with her next year.  But, nonetheless, she just keeps impressing me!

Crohn's could keep her down -- her loss of 22 inches of her intestines should slow her down -- but she doesn't believe that for a second!  She trained by biking religiously around Federal Way, running with our pooch Mya, and jumping in Lake Washington for a swim once or twice with her best friend Marissa.  It was neat to hear about her journey over the phone and then get to run with her while visiting home just a week before her race!  My sister is the coolest!  Here are her results and some photos (via texts from Dad):
